If you’re looking for new clothes that won’t break the bank, keep reading to see some of my favorites that I’ve recently purchased.
American Eagle Bralettes
I recently purchased two bralettes from American Eagle that I never want to take off: the Aerie Seamless Padded Bralette and the Aerie Sunnie Lace Padded Triangle Bralette.
The material of the Aerie Sunnie Lace Padded Triangle Bralette is extremely soft, it comes with removable padding, and the straps are adjustable. The band is thicker (it is a longline bra), which I love. The lace isn’t itchy or scratchy. It is snug in the right way and has good support. It doesn’t have clasps in the back, so sometimes the padding moves.
The Aerie Seamless Bralette has a ribbed fabric with removal padding, a scoop front, and a low scoop back. This bra doesn’t have adjustable straps, so I don’t think it’s as supportive as the Sunnie Lace Bralette (to me, it’s a softer, more comfortable version of a low-support sports bra). It’s so comfortable that I sometimes forget I have it on.
American Eagle Leggings
I’m always searching for quality leggings that aren’t too thin, don’t stretch out throughout the day, and aren’t ridiculously expensive. These two below check off all my boxes.
The OFFLINE Real Me High-Waisted Crossover Leggings are made of nylon. I ordered a size smaller than my normal size and long because the length is 7/8 and I didn’t want my ankles exposed as the weather gets colder. The material reminds me of the OFFLINE Real Me Crossover 7″ Bike Shorts that I love. These leggings are stretchy (but not too stretchy), they aren’t see-through, and the high waisted band isn’t too tight.
The OFFLINE OG High Waisted Leggings are made of cotton and polyester. I ordered my normal size in these, just because I don’t think this material stretches as much as the Crossover leggings. The material is thick, not see-through, and isn’t itchy or scratchy.
American Eagle OFFLINE Real Me Crossover 7″ Bike Shorts
To be honest, I was always hesitant to buy biker shorts because I didn’t think they would look good on me. I knew I wanted to buy some and pair them with oversized t-shirts so I decided to try American Eagle’s OFFLINE Real Me Crossover shorts. I have the 7″ ones and love them. They are so much more comfortable than any of my Nike or Adidas shorts, mainly because they are high waisted and don’t dig into my waist. I wear them with oversized t-shirts I bought on Etsy and either Birkenstock’s or Converse. It’s a super easy and comfortable option when I’m lounging around the house or running errands. I’m also just a really big fan of American Eagle’s OFFLINE line of clothes – everything is very comfortable, which helps you feel confident wearing them.
Target A New Day T-Shirts
I’m very easily influenced by two Instagram influencers I follow (which means they are very good at their jobs) and one influencer in particular posts anything and everything related to Target. She creates really cute, simple outfits with clothes entirely from Target, and she recently shared her favorite t-shirt. I’m always looking for simple shirts to wear under cardigans so naturally I went to Target and bought a few. I’m not normally a fan of V-necks, but the “V” on this shirt isn’t very deep, so I don’t mind it. The material is stretchy and very soft. I actually got two different kinds: A New Day Short Sleeve V-Neck T-shirt and A New Day Short Sleeve Casual T-shirt. The last one isn’t a V-neck.
Target A New Day Slouchy Mock Turtleneck Pullover Sweater
The above-mentioned influencer also convinced me to buy the A New Day Slouchy Mock Turtleneck Pullover Sweater. My style once the weather gets cold consists of over-sized sweaters, cardigans, and sweatshirts with leggings or jeans, and this sweater is a great option to wear with leggings. I originally ordered my normal size but it was too boxy, so I sized down and it fits great. The material is very soft and since it’s a mock turtleneck, it isn’t overly aggressive – it only comes up my neck a little bit.
Kohl’s Juniors’ SO Favorite Crewneck Short Sleeve Tee
Earlier this summer I was searching and searching for a simple T-shirt I could pair with jean shorts. I finally found the Juniors’ SO Favorite Crewneck Short Sleeve Tee. Some shirts seem to be a different material than others; the first few I bought were so soft and the last few I bought didn’t seem as soft. Regardless, they have a lot of colors to choose from, they are crewnecks, and they aren’t too tight. I have about five or six. They are also available in a V-neck.
Old Navy Extra High-Waisted PowerSoft Light Compression Hidden-Pocket Leggings
These leggings also check off all my boxes!
They caught my eye when I was at Old Navy looking for something else (go figure) and when I tried them on I knew I wanted more than one pair. The material is high-quality and very soft. The material offers a little bit of compression but not too much that you’re uncomfortable. They don’t stretch out at all and the length is great.
